CNC Manufacturing TA

In college, my job durring school was to TA for the CNC manifacturing and prototyping course. I served as a lab monitor for the Washburn Prototyping Shops, and I taught the labs for the Intro To Prototyping class.
Below are the list of equipment I used frequently within this lab:
- Haas CNC milling machines (3 axis and 5 axis)
- CNC lathe (3 axis and 6 axis)
- Manual machinery, mills, lathes, sheers, welders, etc
- Laser cutters
- 3D Printers (FDM, SLA Carbon composite)
Takeaway:
This experience gave me a really good understanding of how to design for manufactuability. I wouldn't realize how rare of a skill this was until i started working at companies where i was getting my parts manufactured at a fraction of the cost of my co-workers.
